Day #6 of Vacation

Yesterday was my first day back from Universal. I wish I could have stayed longer. But on the bright side of things, Disney’s Aladdin just recently came out in theaters, so I went to see that. Let me just say…. It was amazing!! I’ve always loved the tale of Aladdin, but watching the movie just made me love it even more. All the actors and actresses did a fantastic job. What inspired today’s outfit was all the extraordinary costumes. Every single costume was both very beautiful at the same time very appropriate for the time period and part of the world the movie is set in. For my piece of the action I designed this dress which cannot near compare to what was in the movie but I still really like it. I wanted to play with beading and traditional Arabic patterns, but still make it my own. In my design I used blue greens and aquas, because I think those colors are regal and elegant. As for today I am going to a Salvador Dalí museum, so I’m hoping to find some inspiration for a design so I could post about it tomorrow.
